Our favorite after many visits is the Hans and Paula Steger Trail, about a 3 to 3.5 hour glorious hike. Not at all difficult. Stop for lunch at Malga Laranz.

Another great option is in Rick's book, the Bullacia Witches Trail. We also like to walk across the Alpe to Mont Seuc and go down at Ortisei. You can take a bus back to Castlerotto from there.

EDIT: ask locally about the Steger Trail, but it us on every map.

Thanks Deepinder and Laurel for such a great information. I haven't visited Europe but now I got the hint. I will research more.
