15 days in Italy

I have 15 days in Italy, and I have to fly in and out of Rome, it's a work thing. I want to do the following and need help planning it out including the best transport options that don't have me doubling back if possible.
Rome Tuscany Cinque Terre Florence Naples Amalfi Coast and Venice (just a day trip possibly)

I's this possible and how would you schedule the order.

Thanks DJP sounds infinitely doable.
If I did it this way, I am assuming a train from Rome to Salerno, making my way through Amalfi to Naples, flight to Venice train back to Florence and so on?? Any other pointers.

when are you travelling? depending on when, I might eliminate either Cinque Terre or Naples/Amalfi Coast based on your interests and when your visit is. Its still a lot of moving around, we were in Italy this summer and sometimes 2 nights was still hectic.

You would need to be impeccable organised and have reasonable stamina to tackle this ...
Day 1 – A shuttle to Positano (3nts) may be best on arrival at Rome Fiumincino.

Day 2 – Pompeii and Naples
Day 3 – Capri
Day 4 – Transfer to Naples airport and fly to Venice (2nts)
Day 5 – Venice sights
Day 6 – Train to Florence (3nts)
Days 7+8 – Florence sights
Day 9 –Train to Cinque Terre (2nts) via Lucca
Day 10 – Hiking the Cinque Terre
Day 11 – Train to Siena (2nts) via Pisa
Day 12 – San Gimignano or Chianti countryside (??)
Day 13 – Train to Rome (3nts)

In October, weather is iffy in the Cinque Terre, and when the weather's bad, you won't want to be there. I'd spend a little more time elsewhere and save that for your next trip. Once you've been to Italy, you'll be back!

I'd rather stay in one place and day trip, so I'd choose Sorrento for the south since it has the best transportation connections to the rest of the area: local (Circumvesuviana) train to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples, buses and ferries to the Amalfi coast towns and ferries to Capri.

Then I'd stay in Florence and day trip to Siena and other Tuscan towns by bus or train.

I like the suggestion of starting in the south, then flying from Naples to Venice and working your way back to Rome. Venice is so much better in the mornings and evenings after the day trippers have gone.

Chani makes lots of good points.
A Sorrento base instead of Positano would probably see you having to choose between Capri and Amalfi for a day trip. It would however make logistics easier.
CT is a good choice for the first two weeks in October, 'iffy' the 2nd two weeks, and best to consider the Amalfi Coast for November.
If you travel light and are a tidy traveller (in regards to your hotel room) then don't be afraid of moving around a bit.
The case Chani makes for Venice being so much better in the mornings and evenings without the day trippers can also apply to Siena.
