14 days itinerary for Italy and Austria

Hi
This is Nikhil from India and we are planning a trip to Italy and Austria for 2 weeks. We would be 5 couples . The itinerary we have planned is as follows
Rome 2 to 3 night
Amalfi coast 3 nights
Venice 3 nights
Salzburg 3 nights
Vienna 2 nights
Pls suggest if this is ok or we should make some changes to incorporate other destination.
Thanks in advance

Geographically, fly into Naples and out of Vienna. Start on the Amalfi Coast, then Rome. Take into account that you'll use half a day or more each time you move, so 2N in a city = 1 full day, 3N = 2 days. Take into account that your group of 10 will only move as fast as the slowest one in the group. Personally, your itinerary would tire me out too much because there's so much to see in some of the cities and not much time to see them.

If you are already locked into Rome/Vienna flights, then I'd drop the Amalfi Coast for Tuscany or Umbria - or just spending more time in Rome and Vienna.

Thanks so much for the suggestion of flying to Naples fortunately we have not booked the tickets yet.
We will also add another day in our itinerary so that we get 13 clear days
Just wanted to confirm is Amalfi coast worth visiting
Thanks in advance

As you are coming all the way from India, I would say the Amalfi. Last is well worth a visit for the beautiful seaside scenery. If you fly into Naples it would be your first stop, and a good place to relax and recover from the long travel day.

You have a nice mix of places to visit and 3 nights each is a good balance. You will not see everything in the larger cities like Rome or Vienna—-do not even try—-but you can choose what is most important to you.

Make sure you know what you need to book in advance——things like an early access visit to the Sistine Chapel at the Vatican will give you a less-crowded visit, if that is on your list. And in Venice, the Secret Itineraries tour is interesting and informative. The tour itself is just over an hour, but then you have free access to the public areas of the Doges Palace for as long as you like after that.
