Hey, what's the best way to get from the pantheon to the trevi fountain and then on to the Spanish steps. Or is it easier to go from the pantheon to the Spanish steps then onto the trevi fountain.
Thanx!

Walk. It doesn't take that long.
Pantheon-Trevi-Spagna is the logical order.
I know how to get from the trevi fountain to the Spanish steps.. I'm just now looking at directions, like what streets and where to turn to the next street, from the pantheon to the trevi fountain
Any help would be appreciated. I only have a few hours the day I land in Rome before going off to Venice for a few days and I'm trying to get in a bunch of the must see free sights during my limited time
If you have the RS walking tour map, just follow the segment for the sights you want to see, in the order Roberto gave you. At major intersections you will see signs with directions for pedestrians to the various sights, they are easy to follow. Each sight can be reached by more than one street, so the route is really up to you.
Via dei Pastini e via delle Muratte is one way to get there. But do you need your life to be planned to such level of detail? Even if you swing by piazza della Colonna you can still get there maybe 2 minutes later, and you might get a chance to see the Prime Minister walking out of Palazzo Chigi. Explore! Take chances! Sometimes getting lost is good.
I agree with Roberto. Get a map! It's really an easy walk to make. Most of the street signs are hard to see or not there so a map really is the best way to find your way around.

In addition to being in the books, Rick's recommended Rome "night walk" is also available for free as an audio tour + pdf map at http://www.ricksteves.com/watch-read-listen/audio/audio-tours/italy.
When we were looking for the trevi Ftn - we just followed the McDonald's@Trevi Ftn this way signs...lol...sad...but it worked ;)
If you want to take a virtual walk, pull up Google maps and click on the Street View. This way you can literally "walk" from the Pantheon to the Trevi Fountain. It will give you street by street directions.
