We will be staying outside Asiano. Is it better to pick up and return a rental car from Siena or Florence. We will be coming from Cinque Terre by training and leaving Tuscany by Trian to Venice
I have heard that driving in Florence is a challenge so it be less stressful to get the car in Siena?

You can find a Hertz office about 2 miles from the Florence train station @ 53 Via del Sansovino. You can catch a cab over there.
If you rent from an airport location, they're going to eat you alive on concession fees and taxes. The center city locations are cheaper than airports, and they can point you down the correct roads to keep you out of the dreaded ZTL's.
There are car rental agencies in Siena, but very few in the surrounding hill towns. Florence is the best place to get a car.

Thanks David, we are renting with Avis and will be going to an Agritourismo, just wandering if it would be easier to pick up and Return in Siena
