We arrive at Marco Polo airport on Sat. 6/14 around 4 PM. Hotel is the Bel Sito which is very near Saint Mark's. Are there taxi's at airport to take us? Or is there a better option. We will be tired and I want to keep it as simple as possible.

Rick Steves in his Italy 2014 book covers all the possible transportation modes. No there are no "taxi's" unless you mean water taxi's. There are no cars in Venice.

The most simple way I have found is the Alilaguna. It's a slow boat that will take you to a number of stops throughout Venice. It is slow but once you get on it, you don't have to change from a car or bus to a Vaporetto. You can buy tickets in advance and your hotel or apartment owner can let you know which stop is closest to the hotel or apartment and which Alilaguna line to take. Of course, you can always take a private boat transfer but they are quite expensive. RS has great info on all the methods of getting from the airport into Venice in any of his books.
