12 min train transfer in Genova

I'm looking to book a trip that has a 12 min transfer between Regional and Intercity trains at the Genova Piazza Principe train station (traveling from Camogli > Nice). We will have only carryon luggage, but this still seems tight to me. Can someone who is familiar with this station respond as to if this is enough time to transfer trains? Thanks.

I would not worry about this, but then I am used to train travel. Generally I find transfers of more than 10 minutes annoying. I do not like it when railways waste my time.

Here is something to be aware of: You only have to be on the train the moment it departs. You do not need to be 1 minute or 2 minutes etc... early. In fact, if you arrive on the platform exactly at the arrival time you will probably notice the conductor waving at you to quickly board so have can leave.

Looking at the current departure board for Genove I see that all trains are on time at the moment...

If first train is on schedule, then this is enough time. But trains are often 5 or ten minutes behind schedule. Think about the plan B if your incoming train is late. Is that plan B acceptable / not a big deal? Or will you be stressing because the plan B is a big hassle...?

There appear to be frequent Regionale trains from Camogli - if you're connecting to a long distance train that runs infrequently, earlier may be more prudent.
