We are flying into and out of Milan, have 11 full days & nights (excluding flight days) in October. Planning to land in Milan and head straight up to Lake Como (Bellgio or Varenna)and watch the Giro Lombardia on Oct 16. Does anyone have advice on catching a view of the race? From there we will be making a circle and back to Milan, including Venice, Florence, Tuscany, Cinque Terre. Trying to determine which "direction" would be best. I think from Lake Como we will need to take train back through Milan, any opinions of going to Cinque Terre or Venice first? Thank you!
