We are arriving to Pisa airport and planning on taking train from Pisa Centrale to Monterosso next Wed June 12 and returning to Pisa June 16th then to Rome. Should I buy train tickets in advance due to busy season? Or wait and buy regional train tickets onsite? Also, is http://www.trenitalia.com the site to use if purchasing in advance? Thanks!

It would be very unlikely that trains would be sold out, plus the options to take are multiple, depending what time you get to the train station. It may also be that taking a later train will get you there sooner due to the myriad of stops and regional trains. I would scope out options on Trenitalia, have a couple possible best ones, take the one that works.
