I'm flying from Chgo to Rome and stopping in Zurich for 1/1 2 hrs. Is that enough time to change planes? Thanks
It is Zurich, it is Swiss, it is plenty of time. With the usual, of course, if you plane is on time. Assume that is 1 1/2 hours and not 1/12th of an hour.
Thank you.
Are you doubting the Swiss punctuality?
But if it happens to get there late for your connection, Swiss will rebook you for the next since they have two more flights to Rome in the PM. The next after yours is about 5 hours later, at 5:35pm. You'll have time for some fondue at the airport while you wait.
Marie, Roberto is correct. If your plan is late for some reason, they will book you on a subsequent flight. The airlines wouldn't allow you to book the flights in the first place if they didn't feel it was enough time to make your connecting flight. You might want to find out what terminal you're flying into and out of and then print out a map of the airport/terminals so you can familiarize yourself with the route between terminals ahead of time. We have a tighter connection (than you do) in Paris and I've printed out a map of the airport so I know where to go when we arrive. Have a great trip.
Assuming that you are on a single ticket, this should be fine if your flight lands on time. I had a 1 hour connection last year (traveling Berlin - Zurich - U.S.). My flight arrived about 10 minutes late and I still got though passport control and made my flight (but I had no time to stop and buy a bottle of water ... they were already boarding the last group of passengers when I got to the gate).
