Arriving from a cruise and we will have the day in Venice.. Sucks, only 1 day, but what do you all recommend? And how much would it cost to go to the airport from St. Mark's square area? Our flight is at at unGodly time 6 am!!
So just wondering what you think is best? Hotels that provide free transfer? Or should we just stay next to the airport? I don't think it would be as fun!
Others here likely can advise on luggage storage in Venice.
I would stash the luggage, spend the day in Venice and then spend the night near the airport.
Water taxi to airport at o'dark ugly is $$$$$
I would book an airport hotel.
Store your bags after disembarking the ship.
Visit San Marco & Doges Palace.
Get the last possible transfer from Venice that evening to your airport hotel.
