1 hour in Padua

We are driving from Venice to Tuscany. Is it worth a stop in Padua for an hour or two. What to do, if so?

If you haven't been to Verona, it's worth a quick stop to see the arena and walk around the historic center. Otherwise, I second the opinion to see the S. Chapel at Padua, if you can obtain timely reservations.

Visit the Basilica too - Some interesting St. Anthony relics and it is a beautiful church.
I loved just walking around the city - but I was there for 3 days.

1-2 hours is not a worthwhile stop in my opinion. Lunch PLUS 2-3 hours would be better to do Padova justice.

The Scrovegni Chapel is a few tram stops away from the train station. You are permitted a very limited amount of time to see the frescoes, so one hour would do it.

There is a cloakroom at the museum entrance for the chapel; check your bag(s), it may be easier to retrieve them there than from the train station, then wait for the tour to start.

If you have extra time, visit the Chiesa degli Eremitani, practically next door.
