Husband and I are planning a 11 day trip to Italy beginning of November. We'll spend 2 nights in Milan, then 3 nights in Piedmont, and end with a few nights in Florence. In Piedmont, we are thinking of staying in one of the Barolo villages, specifically La Morra right now. Would that be a good place for people who like to go out for dinner and stay up late as well? Any recommendations for a beautiful Agriturismo or bed & breakfast to stay in that area? looking to get an authentic experience, with lots of wine tastings.
Though it’s in Barbaresco, not Barolo, the Agriturismo Tre Stella is a wonderful place to visit in the Piedmont. Surrounded by grape vineyards in the rolling hills, they also are a winery which is located in the basement of the building. There are some great restaurants close by such as taSté, the repurposed old school house, and Rabaya. A little further afield is Io e Luna in Guarena - fabulous! The Enoteca Regionale in Barbaresco is a must stop for wine lovers and the Koki Wine Bar is also a great place to sip, eat and mix with the locals.
