Venice: Pensione Guerrato

Located not too far from the Rialto Mercato vaporetti stop. The location cannot be beat! Our rooms were quiet and comfortable. All of the front desk staff were helpful and informative. When I return to Venice, I will stay here again.

I agree! Very cozy and conveniently located. Staff is very friendly and helpful, especially the owners.
We looked out a window one day and saw the cook chopping vegetables. He looked up and waved which delighted the kids.
8 of us stayed here 12 years ago and the kids still say it's their favorite.
Gosh, wish I was there now...

It's a great place and the price can't be beat. Just be aware that there is NO elevator and lots of flights of stairs up to the rooms.

We've stayed there twice now - about 5 years ago in the family apartment - we loved it! Again last year in the regular location and loved everything about it - helpful front desk. Have a great visit to Venice! BTW - a favorite activity in Venice is to see the concert at one of the churches - wish I could remember which one -NOT the one where the people are in costume. It was a very memorable evening- the Vivaldi music and the setting couldn't be beat. I think Rick mentions it in his Venice book.

It is a charming place, great staff and charming decor. The hotel is in a really old building that has the famed Venetian speckled flexible marble floor. We loved the evidence of hundreds of footsteps on the worm stair treads too.

Stayed there 4 years ago and booked again this year.

Could it be this one? http://www.interpretiveneziani.com/ We attended a wonderful concert there in spring 2015

Stayed here as part of VFR November 2016 and I would GLADLY stay here again. The attic room was out of this world - great views of Venice, as well. Front reception staff were always glad to be of service and the breakfast room was really nice.

As others have said, no elevators, but there was also no hair dryer in my room.
