Venice, Italy Food Tour Recommendations

Hello!
We are traveling to Venice in July and would like to participate in a food tour. Any recommendations?

We have had good experiences with Eating Europe too.
This post got my attention as we never have considered Venice’s foods a reason to visit there.
Four trips to Venice, one was two weeks long.
Best food we found was in the Venice Ghetto.

In 2022 I did both the Eating Europe food tour and Alessandro's bar/cicchetti tour. Both were excellent and lots of fun.

Happy travels!

You have received some great recommendation. This past May, we took the Devour tour and really enjoyed exploring the Dorsoduro district. Our tour guide was a native and we learned so much about the history along with the food. We have used Eating Europe in other places, it just wasn’t available in Venice when we met.

We also have taken Alessandro’s Bar and Cicchetti tour in 2108 with two friends and two college-aged girls. It is more drinking than eating. Alessandro is very entertaining and my husband, me, and our college girls loved this tour. For us there was enough food (but we weren’t very hungry). Our friends, however, needed to go out and eat afterward. We took this tour in 2018, so he may have added more food.

We will be in Venice in June and are interested in specific restaurant recommendations - especially in the ghetto area since it seems many people think the food there is excellent. Thanks for your help.

matthew, consider dining at Ba Ghetto in the Venice Ghetto.
