Venice dining with fish allergies

It's good to let them know you are allergic in case they use fish as an ingriendent in a non fish dish ( for instance my ex bill has a fish allergy , but can eat shellfish, he once ordered clam chowder thinking they use clam broth , but they used fish broth instead!!, luckily he sense a problem as soon as soup touched his lip and immediately stopped ) However getting on fish dishes is very easy in Venice . My daughter dislikes fish and never ate any where we dined . It would be very rare for a restaurant to ONLY have fish dishes .

Try Ai Gondolieri in Dorsoduro. It is a meat and vegan restaurant--- no fish or shellfish on the menu at all ( unless you count the snails, which are a land mollusk).

Don't order the fish. And don't get hung up on any particular restaurant.
