Venice: Bed & Breakfast Corte Campana is the perfect Rick Steve's B&B

We just returned from a week in Venice and we can’t say enough good things about the Bed & Breakfast Corte Campana. This is one of Rick's recommended B&Bs and it could be the measure for all Europe Through the Back Door recommendations.

Ricardo and Grace were the most friendly hosts we have ever met. They went above and beyond to welcome us into their B&B, answer all our questions, and provide great recommendations for restaurants, shopping, and things to see, all shown on Grace’s amazing map of Venice. Breakfasts were a wonderful time to chat and get any questions answered. They even put a little Happy Birthday sign on our morning croissant after learning it would be our birthday!

The location is excellent – three minutes from San Marco, eight minutes from the Rialto Bridge. Our huge room was lovely, with a comfortable bed, plenty of closet space and hangers, a comfortable place to sit, and two big, beautiful windows. Even though we were so close to the center of Venice, at night our room was completely silent.

It truly was the quintessential bed & breakfast experience and if you are looking for a friendly, welcoming, and truly Venetian place to stay, Bed & Breakfast Corte Campana should be at the top of your list.

Thank you for the review. I contacted them a month ago but their reservations don’t open for September for a couple months.

Because of a similar positive review on the forum about the B&B Corte Compana we booked a few days with them next spring 2022. Ricardo was so friendly and accomodating, even when I contacted him a second time and requested a different room than we had originally booked. Their website is very informative too. We can’t wait to meet Grace and Ricardo in person!

So happy to read your review. I'm staying there next May for 3 nights. It'll be my first trip to Italy and I'm having fun researching and planning my trip. Think I've found a gem in this B&B. Looking forward to staying there and meeting Ricardo and Grace in person.

I had made reservations with them for a spring 2020 trip and then had to cancel. They emailed me around Christmas 2020 wishing me well and hoping I would be able to stay with them in the future. I was touched by their outreach. I am keeping them in mind for future stays. So glad you enjoyed your stay!
