Venice B & B

We had a fantastic stay at the B & B Corte Campana in Venice. Ricardo and Grace were completely welcoming and helpful. It was like staying with really great friends or family. They gave us lots of suggestions of places to eat, things to do and how to most easily get around (all were spot on). They very obviously love having guests in their home. The accommodations were comfortable and moderately priced. We wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else.

Hey Jazz, that B&B sounds wonderful. I just looked up some reviews and saw pictures on another website, and that's just the kind of place where I would like to stay when (hopefully?) I'm in Venice next spring. One question: how did you get there with your luggage from the train station (or airport)? Vaporetto to San Zaccaria/San Marco stop and then navigate through the small streets? Thank you!

They have directions on the website but they also sent us an email a few days before stating the vaporetto would be on strike the day we arrived and telling us to take the Alilaguna. The website has exact directions (with pictures) on how to walk to the B and B from either of two stops the Alilaguna would dock at. We ended up walking from the San Marco-Giardinetti stop. It was not far or difficult.

Thank you for the review. The B&B looks lovely. I bookmarked their website for future reference.
Did you book directly with them? The website does not include rates so can you give us an approximate nightly rate? Thanks.

We did book directly with them. We originally planned to be there in 2020 but had to postpone our booking with them for a year. I think we paid about $120 euros per night. I don’t know if the rates will go up or not as we move out of pandemic mode. We had the Dei Mii room.

Jazz, thanks for sharing the great review. With limited rooms I imagine they are constantly booked. Glad they survived the Pandemic! Booking.com gave them excellent reviews as well. Always nice to have another option in Venice. We love B&B’s and will bookmark this thread!

Jazz,
This is a B&B that I had booked for a trip to Venice in 2020 which didn’t happen. They kindly emailed me around Christmas they were thinking of me and hoped I would be able stay with them sometime after the pandemic.

I’m glad to read your positive review. Recently I did go to Venice on a small group tour but we stayed in a hotel which was wonderful, too.

Hey Jazz thanks so much for the excellent recommendation for the B&B Corte Campana in Venice. Last Saturday After searching their website, I went ahead and requested a room for two nights next April before our RS tour begins. Ricardo emailed me back within 24 hours! Happily they do have a room available and the quoted price is 115 euros a night. My husband and I are looking forward to an opportunity to sleep in an historic home with frescoes on the ceiling in our room!
