Just returned from Italy and want to pass on the info for this amazing apartment. The location is right on the lagoon in Cannaregio, near the water bus stops to Murano, Burano, etc., perfect for watching everything going by on the water. It's away from the crowds of tourists, but only a short walk to the sights, shops and great restaurants. Elisa, the owner, meets you at the waterbus and walks you to the apartment. Explains all the amenities there and gives you suggestions and tips to better enjoy Venice. The best one for sights was to go to the roof terrace at the tedeschi (sp) mall near the Rialto bridge...incredible views over Venice.

Fully equipped kitchen, large shower with great water pressure, closets with lots of nice hangers, washer and drying rack (clothes dried in 1/2 day), and air con that really works. A real home away from home.
We are so happy to have found the place we will stay when lucky enough to return to Venice.

Your apartment looks lovely! I am a bit jealous, wish I found such a gem! I accidentally booked my hotel, lol. I do have a question if you don't mind explaining what tedeshi mall roof terrace is? Do you eat there or is it just a place to go & enjoy the view? I will be going to Venice for 3 nights in October.

Hi - Elisa called it a 'mall' .. but in reality it's a very old building remade into a multistory high end shopping experience. We had coffee there on th ground floor and it was great for people watching. You climb up many flights of stairs until you reach the roof terrace level....when we were there there was a short wait before we were allowed onto the terrace. It's just a big platform on the roof...but it overlooks all of Venice...it's an incredible view. On google maps it's called T Fondaco dei Tedeschi by DFS.
We had a few great meals...Ai Promessi Sposi - very local and small with Very tasty and fresh food. We went by a day ahead to book for th next night.
And our fine Dining night was at Osteria da Rioba...on a little canal...great food.
Both in Cannaregio.
