We stayed at an agriturismo (working farm AND hotel) recommended by Rick Steves: La Crociona in Montalcino, Italy. It was just as Rick said- kind, friendly owners/staff, excellent accomodations- we had our own stand alone "casita" which had a full kitchen, own patio, etc. clean, elegant, romantic, peaceful. located on the grounds of the surrounding vineyards; pool, hot tub. lovely to just walk around the surrounding area too. we ended up having a family style dinner next door at the much smaller agriturismo "La Croce" (owners Alberto and Paola). I highly recommend staying here if you plan to stay in Tuscany. Kim
