Trastevere hotel for handicap

My husband will be using a mobility scooter when we visit Trastevere in May. We are looking for recommendations of hotels that are handicap accessable. Do you have a hotel suggestion in Trastevere?
Thanks

Since my wife started riding her folding mobility scooter when traveling, we've had to adapt.

The B&B's we used to stay in close to the San Pietro/Ottaviano underground station had steps. We've started staying in more modern hotels with elevators. Our last year's trip, we stayed out in the Roman suburbs at a Crown Plaza Resort. When we needed a cab, one would be there within 5 minutes to pick us up.

I don't remember that Trastevere had many modern hotels. Most of the hotels appear to independently owned--not famous brand chain operations. Trastevere is a little off the beaten path from the most popular tourist sights. The neighborhood restaurants are great, however.

You might have to look closely for a hotel with an elevator there. Try Booking.com or Google Maps filtered by hotels for the specific neighborhood you're interested in.
