Hello - just wanted to give a shout out to the Surriento Suites in Sorrento at Marina Piccola. Three suites - breathtaking views of Mt Vesuvius and Pamela (the host) could not be more accommodating. Suites are filled with breakfast items (or you can go to bar ruccio for a sit down breakfast) - pastries, cereal, milk , eggs, snacks, meats/cheeses, coffee and tea maker, toaster, omelette maker are all provided and refilled daily. Literally everything you need - bring your own wine lol. Suites are spacious - impeccably clean - and in a historic palazzo. Center of town is easily accessible from the lift at the port or a good set of stairs to work off the holiday carb overload! Check it out - you won’t be disappointed- and it’s a pleasant alternative to the standard hotel. Can’t say enough good things about this place. I’m sitting here now - window open - glass of wine at the ready - listening to the waves on the shore. Just amazing!
I stayed there in Sept. 2016 and am happy to see this shout-out and know that Pamela is still in business. I loved the place too and I remember that window so maybe you are in the same suite! I miss the little beach, the friendly people in the shop where we got breakfast, going down the stairs from town at the end of the day to our quiet little palazzo...thanks for posting this.
