Looking for quality hotel that doesn't break the bank. Would be nice if it had a view. Any recommendations?
Lori, according to a previous post, your trip is next summer, which is high season. What does "not break the bank" mean to you in per-night euros? And there will be 3 of you? 2 adults + one minor under age 18 or 3 adults?
To be honest, anything with a view during high season is going to be expensive - and Sorrento is not an inexpensive destination- but we need to know actual dates of your stay and what your per-night budget is. You might also consider a different location if what's available doesn't work for you.
What is your price point? Do you need AC, an elevator, breakfast? A few more details would help with making recommendations. I would expect any hotel with an ocean view to be over 300 euros. Read the reviews on booking, com and book directly for the best price. Good luck !
We stayed at the Hotel Antiche Mura In April 2023. Not an ocean view, but very nice centrally-located hotel in Sorrento. At that time, it was 259 euro/night, but I think we ended up paying 220 euro/night because we paid cash. This included an amazing breakfast. Highly recommend.
Showing $206 per night for 3 adults in June
FABULOUS view and great breakfast
We stayed at La Tonnarella, Sorrento, a few years ago. We booked early for the cheapest room which was located on their top floor, accessed by a few minor flights of steps. View out my french doors was one of the most beautiful sights ever. They had a lovely buffet breakfast and delicious coffee.
Make a list. You will be forced to take your sixth choice, at best.
Rick’s “worthwhile splurge”, Ambasciatori Grande, cliff-front, view and balcony extra. We stayed 5 nights last week of May. Great Air Cond.
We stayed at Hotel Minerva for two different visits. LOVED IT.
We loved the expansive balcony over the water and the ease of walking into town. And the massive breakfast overlooking the bay was lovely.
