Sorrento for five days

I'm traveling to Sorrento for five days in early April. I'm looking for any suggestions on things to do and restaurants.

Hi, congratulations on your upcoming trip, you 'll love it there!
I can suggest three restaurants :
* Da Filippo
* Vino Vero
* Il Leone Rosso
I had amazing meals at the first two. The kind of meals you expect to have in Italy, those ones you keep talking about on and on. The third one, unfortunately was closed when I was there, but I've heard only wonderful things about it from the owner of my favorite b&b in the world ( that happens to be in Sorrento :) ) It's like a place where the locals go.
I'm sure you'll have a great time on your vacation!

Read Rick's Amalfi Coast book to see all of his suggestions for the Coast. We loved the following:

Walking the Path of the Gods from Nocelle into Priaino
Riding the bus to Positano, Ravello, and Atrani
Enjoying the cooking class in Ravello with Mama Agata
Taking the ferry to Capri and hiking 5 different paths around the island

Hi, you will receive more responses to your question if you post it under the Country Destination, "Italy" section vs. the Trip Reviews.

Ristorante Bagni Delfino was fabulous. Sitting by the water, dining on incredible seafood, nothing could be better. It is located at the fishing marina. It is reason enoigh to return to Sorrento.
Another good restaurant is Ristorante Pizzeria Tasso, well prepared dishes, creative. They may offer pizzas but it is far from a pizzeria! Much more refined.

I second the recommendation for Ristorante Bagni Delfino. Fresh, beautifully prepared seafood, served with attention and care in a lovely setting on the water. It was by far my favorite restaurant in Sorrento.

I would recommend Aldo Limos for excursions. They are a family firm with English speaking drivers and air conditioned vehicles. They have shared excursions and also can do a personal tour if you wish.

I second the recommendation for the Leone Rosso restaurant, right outside the train station in Sorrento, and then the gelateria two doors down. A day trip to Pompeii is very easy by train from Sorrento. We took the RS recommended Mondo Tour shared van trip to the Amalfi Coast, stopping at Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello. Reasonably priced, and a great way to see some of the towns without driving or relying on the public bus.
