Can anyone please let me know what is worth seeing and staying at for a 2 drive from Naples to Rome in July 2016

Your question might get more answers if moved from Reviews to the main Italy page of this forum. Driving directly from Naples to Rome only takes three hours or a high-speed train takes one hour. Rick doesn't cover Montecassino in his book, but it seems to be the most talked-about site along your route.
