Siena's Hotel Alma Domus

A very clean, welcoming and well located hotel run by Dominican sisters, a former convent(?) located within feet of St. Catherine of Siena's Sanctuary and very close to Saint Dominic's Catherdral. There are local eateries and gelateria conveniently nearby. Would say about a 10 minute walk to Il Campo. Staff courteous and helpful. Will arrange tours for you. Rooms have basic amenities, no frills, but there is A/C, modern shower room and depending on the room, beautiful views of Il Duomo. Breakfast - coffee/cappuccinos, croissants, yogurt, tarts, simple but ample. Anna, staff in charge of colazione, always had a smile on her face and aimed to meet guests requests. I would certainly stay at this hotel again.

It's good to read that Alma Domus is still a fine choice in Siena. We stayed there in 2008 and still remember our fabulous view of the Duomo.

We stayed there three nights two years ago and found the Alma Domus to be ideally located, clean and reasonably priced. We, too, would stay there again.
