Any favorite hotels to recommend for 2 nights in Siena?
We stayed at Hotel Athena. Actually stayed here twice. Both times were excellent stays - warm welcome, excellent service throughout hotel. Easy to walk anywhere in Siena. We splurged on a room with a balcony, nice views and very pleasant to sit outside with wine at end of day.
Two years ago, we stayed at the Antica Residenza Cicogna in Siena for several nights. It was beautifully appointed and quiet, but right off the main drag. Breakfasts were great too. Highly recommended.
We stayed at the Hotel Chiusarelli with the Best of Italy RS tour several years ago. When we returned to Siena a few years ago, we stayed there again because it was inexpensive and loved the location. It's only a couple of blocks to the street where the bus stopped from Florence & to Grosseto, and a short walk to the Campo.
If you have a car or are using trains...Hotel Italia. We didn't mind the 15 minute walk to the center.
Thanks, everyone! I went with one of these great suggestions!
