Bed and Breakfast: Antica Residenza Cicogna
Great location in a wonderful city. Treated us like family. Beautiful and comfortable room with private bath. 5 minute walk to the Piazza del Campo, depending upon if you stop for gelato on the way. Very good breakfast – meats, cheeses, pastries, yogurt, fruit, coffee, cappuccino, and espresso. Close to many restaurants and gelato stores, and easy to get to the Piazza Gramsci bus stop. This is the bus stop we used when we took the bus from Rome to Siena and from Siena to Florence for a day trip. We also used
Antica Residenza Cicogna as our base to go bike riding through Tuscany. Great base location. They have a room that you can store the bikes in. We rented bikes from DF Bikes, a local bike shop. They provided outstanding carbon bikes geared for the Tuscan hills. One of the best surprises of the hotel was being able to listen to the Duomo’s bell every day. To us, these were the most awesome bells we have heard.
