Searching for Tuscany Farm Stay near Florence

Looking for an affordable Tuscany farm stay within a 45 minute drive of Florence. Hoping to have a swimming pool and vineyard on grounds. (The more activity options the better...bikes, hikes, cooking class, etc.) Just need a room for 2.

I would recommend Agriturismo Podere Caselino. It is not far from Florence but is peaceful and quiet as they only have 5 apartments on the farm. It is lovely and surrounded by olive groves and vineyards with beautiful scenery. They have a swimming pool that is never overcrowded. There is wi-fi so you can keep up with the outside world. You can bike, ride horses, swim, play tennis, pick fruit and veggies if you want, etc. The vineyards and olive groves are stunning and they have flowers blooming there too. It's a wonderful place. www.poderecasalino.com/

We used www.tuscanynowandmore.com in 2009. Had a lovely villa for 12 people. Wonderful company to deal with. Check them out to see if they have what you need! Good Luck!

We were very pleased with Castello Di Montegufoni (Montegufoni.eu). It is a thousand year old castle located about thirty minutes from Florence and a part of the agriturismo system in Italy. It did have a pool but too cool in May to use it. Great views overlook vineyards but only a few grape vines on the property itself. Close to a couple of other small towns near by. There is a bus stop to Florence just below the property but we only spent one day in Florence and drove.

Hi krzeilstra,

I've been to Castelfalfi not quite a farm but it's a great resort to stay for a couple of days. They have a pool, vineyard, and a lot of activity options and it's only 1,5 h by car to Florence!
