We have a free room in Rome from Expedia before we start our Rick Steves tour in Rome. It is for Rome Times Hotel but now we see mixed reviews of it. Has anyone stayed there? If so, do you know if there was fragrance on linens and infused in rooms? I have some chemical sensitivity.

Would it be better to contact the hotel https://www.rometimeshotel.com/ and ask them directly? Perhaps they have alternate linens for people with allergies.

You don't seem to have the same concerns for the hotels during the rest of your tour? Just asking in case it's a make-or-break detail? I don't have big "fragrance" issues but have yet to run into an accommodation in Europe with an overwhelming chemical smell, not that it couldn't happen. Still, I'm not seeing any complaints about strong chemical odors but as suggested, you could e-mail them and ask.
