I with my family would be staying for 2 days in Rome in May. I have finally zeroed down to these 2 hotels & would like to stay in one of them. Wondering whether some one in this forum have stayed at either of these hotels and have any feedback to share ?

Sudipto, We have stayed at the Hotel Sonya with an RS Best of Italy tour. It is a great location if you are travelling the next day as we were and we walked with our luggage to Termini train station. . The rooms were spacious and attractive, the breakfast was good and the staff was friendly and helpful. The next time we came to Rome on our own we wanted to stay more central to the historical center so rented an apartment near Campo di Fiori. Hotel SOnya is a small hotel and very often the hotel rooms are sold out to RS tour groups so if you want to stay there I would jump on it right away.

We stayed at the Sonya with our RS tour. The rooms were sizable, the staff very helpful when our flight was cancelled due to British Air strike, and the breakfast was delicious. It was also nice to have a gelato stand and laundromat a block away - we used both.
