Rome apartment rentals-Not VRBO or AirBNB?

Hi all,
We are off to Rome for 4 days in October. Myself, DH, and my two adult children. This will be the second leg of our trip and we will probably be on each others nerves a bit by then so prefer vacation home rental to a hotel. Trying to be budget minded as well and 2 hotel rooms will be as much or more than renting a vacation apartment. I have used the VRBO, AirBNB, and Booking.com sites frequently and wonder if there are reputable, local rental agencies anyone can recommend? I have found a couple of homes on rentalinrome.com, any experience with this particular agency? I used to book vacation rentals through local agencies all the time in the pre-AirBNB years but now feel so hesitant. Did recently use an Icelandic agency (bungalo) and it was one of the best homes we've ever had, so willing to try again in Rome.

For reference, we'd like to stay in either Trastevere, Campo de'Fiero, Monti/Colosseum areas.

TIA!

RomeLoft.com has a great selection of flats. We are staying on the edge of the Jewish Ghetto this year. Great service and response times to enquiries.

I haven't stayed here yet, have a booking in November, but they are recommended by others here on the forum: https://www.floraliahomes.com/
We have stayed in one of these apartments. I booked it through booking.com but they're doing direct bookings now: https://www.leonardosuites.com/
Hotel Smeraldo also has one or two apartment-type rentals, if you want a place with other amenities.

Thanks all for the suggestions. @celeste your recommendation was the winner! I was able to resere the Blue room for the dates we needed. Looking forward to our stay and so glad to have that bit taken care of.
