Ristorante La Gardela in Ravenna

We were only in Ravenna one night, and we had eaten pizza every day for the previous week, so we decided to go to Ristorante La Gardela because it was recommended in the Rick Steves Italy 2014 guidebook and supposedly had homemade pasta. It was so good! We ate outside and were lucky that there were no nearby smokers. My mother ordered the spinach "ravioli" (can't remember how it was written on the menu--maybe tortelli?), and it was her favorite dish for our entire Italy trip. She also had the amazing fried zucchini sticks. I ordered the Emilia-Romagna appetizer platter (first appetizer listed on the menu) of sliced meat, squaquerone cream cheese, and piadina (none of which I enjoyed, but I ate it), and the yummy cappelleti in meat sauce (ragu), which was good. This restaurant spoiled us for the rest of the trip. We looked for similar homemade pasta wherever we went and didn't find it. I hope on future trips to Italy I can find similar restaurants!
