We will be in Venice on a Sunday and have found it difficult to find a restaurant open for dinner. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Fewer than half of the Venice restaurant listings in Rick's Italy book are closed on Sundays. You will surely find something, and still with a choice of price/service levels.

when are you going to be in venice? why the difficulty for dinner is in venice, yes some restaurants are closed but there are others open, walk away from the train station to canareggio area, dorsoduro, san polo you will find open. check the hours which are short (noon to 2-3pm lunch and 7pm-11pm dinner). you may need to make a reservation ahead of time, what type of food interested in and do you want "fancy" or just a place to enjoy

ristorante da nino on grand canal across train station. my 3 cents, best tiramisu and great people watching outside under umbrellas.
