We just returned from several weeks in Italy and I just wanted to share a hotel that was a highlight of our trip. Just up the hill from La Spezia is Le Ville Relais, run by young Andrea and his family. This place is incredible, with gorgeous views of the sea and the port of La Spezia. The rooms are so comfortable and some have beautiful balconies overlooking the sea. Andrea takes care of the hotel and cooks in the restaurant there, which is excellent. His staff works hard to provide outstanding service. In addition, Andrea is quick to provide information about nearby activities and about the history of this gorgeous area. Absolutely a standout.
