Hi Travelers,
My boyfriend's birthday is going to be in the middle of our vacation in Rome. I'm hoping to find a casual bar/restaurant type of establishment with a nice beer/cocktail selection, cake would be amazing but not a huge priority!

One block southwest of the Piazza del Popolo there are several restaurants and osterias along the via dell ' Oca that have full bars, like this one:

Be sure to check out the RS Rome guide book for suggestions if you have not done so already. We were in Rome last month and while there took a RS Rome City Tour. We ate at numerous places that were listed in his book with no complaints;.
