Puglia recommendations?

We will be in Matera, Lecce, and Ostuni. Any recommendations for day trips, restaurants, etc. in those areas?

Hi Judy, I think being in the reviews section is obscuring your post, as Puglia is very popular on the Italy page--so you may want to cross post there.
I feel like my trip was not recent enough for strong restaurant recommendations, but even though Matera has some really excellent restaurants many famous and in the sassi, these more homey things are what were memorable to me: lunch at the headquarters of Murgia park (if it has reopened by your trip), dinner at Dalla Padella alla Brace. More upscale: Il Borghese
In Lecce, I am sure the classic Le Zie (the aunts) is still going strong.

Judith if you are still reading this I can offer a few restaurant recommendations in Matera; my trips to the other two cities were too long ago for me to comment on where we ate..

In Matera, there's an excellent deli/butcher with delicious food to go or owner/manager will heat it for you to eat there. Outdoor seating available, so is wine. Traditional fava and chicory dish, grilled eggplant etc. plus lots of meat dishes.
