Pizzeria al Marmi, Rome

Crazy busy, 10,000 decibels, with lots of Italians and kids, this place was a hoot! Very near the bridge on Viale Trastevere, the pizza is crisp and thin, and the eggplant parmigiana was saucy, light on the eggplant and a bit spicy. The suppli were crunchy, hot and delicious. Suppli, zucchini flowers, pizza with sausage and bitter greens, eggplant parmigiana, insalata mista, a coke and a Peroni zero came to 45 euros. No problem getting a table at 1830, but when we left at about 2015, the line down the block was literally 100 feet long.

It is an experience! Hard to believe they can produce decent food so quickly for so little €. We once were seated right by the pizzaioli flinging pies in and out of the oven. They took less than two minutes to bake! Glad you had this very Roman experience.
