We stayed 2 weeks in Il Nido and absolutely loved everything about it. The "apartment" is extremely clean and has everything one needs including hair drier and straightener on European voltage, clothes washer, great drinking water, everything one could ask. The hosts are truly there to serve you and are enthusiastic about your stay. If you sign up for the "La Dolce Vita" package, we highly recommend it, there is enough food provided for many meals and also wonderful authentic activities. All activities are truly personal experiences with real people, nothing contrived. There are 2 books provided in the unit, one regarding the appliances etc. in the unit as well as local history and more. The other is full of suggested day trips and local attractions that one might not otherwise know about. Importantly, whether one signs up for "la dolce vita" or not, there is no pressure to participate or not in any activity. You can do as much or as little as you wish, they respect that this is your special time. We have never felt so pampered and cared for. Staying here and participating in some activities made this the trip of a lifetime. We feel our hosts are truly friends after this stay.
