One night in Lake Como

Headed from Paris to Northern Italy in 2025 with a one-night stop in Lake Como area. What are some mid-level hotels for a couple, no kids?

Where do you want to stay? Como is a large lake.
Look at Hotel Florence in Bellagio.

Where in northern Italy are you headed? Makes a difference. As stated, Lake Como is very large and some places are harder to get to then others.

I love how you can hardly ever get a straight answer on this forum. Yes, I know the Lake Como area is big. Just asking for a recommendation for a hotel in the Lake Como area. If you don't have a hotel to recommend don't reply. If you know of a place that is perfect for a couple visiting anywhere near Lake Como, thanks I would love to know about it.

I love how Original Posters don’t provide enough info to get a straight answer. Lake Como is large and where to stay can be highly dependent on travel plans. If taking the train to Como is your route, perhaps staying in the city itself is preferable to one of the lakeside towns. It would be easier dealing with luggage and getting to and from the rail station. To see the lake and some of the towns, a traveler could always hop on one of the ferries to visit them. If you have a car, it could be a totally different recommendation. Are you arriving and departing early in the day or late? What would be your priorities for sightseeing or the Lake Como experience?

I’ve rented the same VRBO condo in the city center twice (though not for just 1 night) and hopped boats to visit lake towns. I chose staying in Centro Storico because my train arrived in late afternoon and departed in early morning. Easy walk to the ferry docks and the funicular to visit Brunate for spectacular views of the city, the lake and the Alps. Sorry that I can’t recommend a hotel since I’ve not stayed in any in Como.

You might get more responses if you posted your query under Destination Q&A instead of Reiews.

To be fair, you were vague about the actual area which is really large, and no mention of budget, are you in a car or on a train, number of people, interests, or time of year and as there are thirty plus towns around the lake, that is why you did not receive specific answers.
When you are more specific, you will be given plenty of “straight answers.”
Hope you find something suitable.
Lake Como is really pretty.

…”anywhere near Lake Como “

What is “near”, mean.

Milan can be considered to be “near” Lake Como

Many folks here are well traveled and knowledgeable, but very few are mind readers

It helps if you define the parameters, so folks know what the “target “ is.

Sorry, but for knowledgeable people to provide valuable answers, you must provide some info with which to work from:

1) Where on Lake Como? It is about 30 miles long.
2) Will you be traveling by train or car? Not everywhere on the lake is easily accessible by train.
3) What is your budget in euros? “Mid-range” is different for everyone.

This quick response, upon further reflection, tells me this OP purposely was vague to make this opinion known under a new name or is a quick judge with only a short time experience on the forum after two responses to their original post. Either way, there is always Trip Advisor as an alternative.
