One night in Florence- hotel suggestions

Hello,

We have a family of four that will be driving from Assisi to Florence then catching a train to Venice. We don't have a rental car yet so pick up and drop off are flexible depending on our Hotel in Florence. We are just having a day then in the morning going to Venice so close to or near the Train station would be good but where we can walk to main places easily.
I found Hotel David on trip advisor. The last Hotel I stayed at form Rick Steve's we did not care for because of the noise, how cold it was, and the WC down the hall.
Anyone stay a that hotel or have one they suggest for a family of four?
Thanks

Torre Guelfa is a quick cab ride to the train station. Close to Ponte Vecchio and walkable to everything in Florence.

Incredible view from their roof top deck.

Thank you, the two posted Hotels look great. Now I will have to choose based on their location closest to the train station to minimize the walk with teenagers and luggage.

Thank you!

Hotel Silla. Close (in time) but need a taxi, at $25 E. Which you will probably save in room costs. Easy to drive to coming in from the south. Out of the city center across the Arno. Quiet, on the river. Friendly. Incredibly helpful staff. So worth the taxi fare. Where people live in Florence. Great family food in the neighborhood. Clean and comfortable. Beautiful breakfast patio. City center is very noisy. We stayed in a 4 star 2 nights. Moved to the Silla and loved Florence because of the change. Relatively easy walk across two bridges to major sights.

Hotel Casci is a warm, welcoming hotel about a 12 minute walk from the train station, and a 5 minute walk up the street from the Duomo. I've stayed there at least seven times, in the last 10 years or so, each time with one or more family members (including teenagers). They have at least one "family room" with four beds, and a fabulous buffet breakfast (included in the cost). They also have arranged parking, with valet, at a garage very nearby. Their website is hotelcasci dot com. A couple of times I've tried other hotels, for a change (including Rick's recommendations) and have regretted not staying at Casci.

Hotel Santa Maria Novella, it about a 3 minute walk from the station. Great small hotel located conviently. Florence is pretty small, anyway, but this hotel is literally across the street from the station. Stayed there for a week a few years ago and was very please.

Thank you all! I went with the one closet to the train station.

I did look at them all. I enjoy reading and learning about each.
Thank you again for your time to write a reply.
