I applied and won (!!!) a one month scholarship with the Seattle-Perugia Sister City Association to study Italian at the University for Foreigners in Perugia. I'm looking for an apartment or some other abode that's not too terribly expensive. They do offer a small stipend for food and lodging along with tuition but it's not too much. I'm fine walking a ways or taking public transportation. This will be for the month of October 2024.
Hi Janice --
Congratulations on winning your scholarship! I just wrote you a note here, and managed to delete it somehow. Anyway, I live here in Lake Forest Park, just got back from a week in Perugia (that I tacked on to a Rick Steves tour), met a couple of people who may be helpful to you in securing a place in October and am wondering if you can share a little about your expectations re: budget and dates. I also want to make sure you're aware that October 18-24 is the EuroChocolate Festival in Perugia - a very big deal apparently. Quite a turnout is expected. Sounds like you're smart to get your accommodations secured asap.
Let me know if I can be helpful to you.
Marie
Looks like on Booking.com there are several apartments listed under $100. per day.
