Non-hotel accommodations in Porto and Lisbon

I am looking for alternate accommodations to hotels for my October visit to Portugal. Your advice is most welcomed.

Hi, you might get more information if you post in the proper forum. You posted under Italy reviews, which is for people reviewing places they have stayed or restaurants where they have eaten in Italy. Since you are seeking information about Portugal you should delete this post and ask again in the Portugal forum.

In Porto, we stayed at Na Travessa Suites. I think there were 6-8 rooms and I’d characterize the place as a BnB. Wonderful, accommodating owner and staff, newly renovated building. Fabulous breakfast, moderately priced. It was quite close to the Sao Bento train station and the cathedral in what I’d call an up and coming neighborhood. This was our favorite lodging during our almost 4 week trip to Portugal.
