Need economical lodging Rome FCU one night

What price fits your definition of 'economical'.?

Thanks for your reply. Even tho we are "hillbillies" we do require clean, safe lodging with a pick up at airport, and return to airport the next morning. We need 2 rooms and don't want to go over 300$ for both. WE only need beds and baths before hitting the road. No extra hotel amenities needed for this stop.I am seeing some listings that appear to fit the criteria on Booking.com. Just thought there might be a personal experience with this type accomodation with transfer available to airport.

Hotel Tiber in Fiumicino offers most of what you want. It’s 10 mins by shuttle from the Airport and is a nice clean modern hotel and close to your price range. It has a nice restaurant if needed.

I'll second the suggestion of Hotel Tiber. We stayed for one night before a flight home and it was comfortable, clean and had a restaurant. The hotel is very near to the Mediterranean and right next to the dock where the fishing boats come in from the sea in the late afternoon to sell their catch right on the dock. That was very interesting to see!

We also enjoyed the Hotel Tiber, before taking an early shuttle back to airport for an early flight in late October. Good value; two rooms there should fit your budget. Our room was large, bed firm and comfortable, and the beautiful shower was one of the largest seen in Italy. Shuttle cost of 7 euro pp was added to our hotel bill, and is the charge for each direction of the 10-15 minute ride. For a 5am shuttle, the charge was 25 euro for 2 of us. All shuttle info, including map to locate it, was well described in an email the hotel sent; it helped to have downloaded the info & pdf of the airport map & shuttle stop to my phone. At the end of October, 2023, the hotel served breakfast starting at 6:30am.
