Milan restaurant for Monday dinner?

I have searched and read some posts on this topic, and the recommendations sound great, but the locations are mostly near Milano Centrale, which is not convenient for us. We will be arriving in Milan on a Monday, and our hotel is just a bit north of the Duomo. I think the neighborhood is Scala, or San Bibila, or maybe Quadrilatero. We would like to walk to a restaurant with outdoor seating. Traditional or modern Milanese cuisine (or other Italian type), moderate price (secondi in the €25-€40 range), not fussy, but friendly.

I know the Monday night might be a problem. Thanks for your help!

I would love Milan restaurant recommendations also as we will be there in September.

I think you will get a better response if you move your request to the Destinations Q & A - Italy section.

Just my 2 cents. :)

You could even post in Trips and Tips heading scroll down to food and drinks. Good luck to us all! We will also be spending one night in Milan before returning to Texas mid October and we need to eat one last fabulous Italian meal.

I, too, am interested in the answers you might get. I'm arriving on a Monday in Sept as well. The restaurant recommended by the hotel (near the Duomo) last time I was in Milan sadly did not make it thru the pandemic.

I chose to post my question in this forum (even though it is not a review) because posts here tend to stay up on the main forum page longer than posts in the Italy forum ( or any country forum). So hopefully more people who can answer the question will see it.

I do have a good solid recommendation from a very experienced traveler that I saw in another thread, but it is close to Milano Centrale, which would mean a taxi or Metro ride for us. We hope to avoid that. But I will mention the restaurant in case that location works for someone else: Antica Osteria Cavallini.
