Milan Arrival Night

We are seeking a low key amazing intimate authentic spot to eat on our arrival night. Our price range is moderate, 75 pp more or less with wine and entree. We usually go easy and light when arriving in Europe Italian fare important.

Ask your hotel's customer service desk where there's a good restaurant close around.

I warn you that Italian restaurants are not typically light food places. I've seen Italian families out on a Saturday night, and I cannot begin to keep up with them eating course after course.

Americans eat. Italians dine.

Where is your hotel located? Might be nice to have something not too far away and I may be able to help as we’ve been to Milan many times.

We have come in and out of Milan on our last two trips to Italy and stayed near Milano Centrale. Nearby we found Osteria del Treno to be quite enjoyable, very authentic Milanese cuisine, not too expensive and a nice wine list. You have to reserve a table in advance, although we did so on the same day. Their online booking is not automatic so you must wait for a response from the restaurant. https://www.osteriadeltreno.it/?lang=en

Also if you are near the station, somewhat underplayed but well worth a visit is the market on the back side of Milano Centrale, good for a snack, drink or picnic supplies and fun to browse.
