Enjoyed really wonderful stay at Locanda di San Martino, Via Fiorentina in Matera on really fab RST Best of South Italy May 2015. Excellent spa requires extra € tho I felt really worth the charge. Really. www.locandadisanmartino.it

I second Theresa's recommendation for Locanda di San Maetino. The rooms are in a random and fun. They were very accommodating offering a reasonable laundry service, and the spa was wonderfully relaxing. The price of the spa is well worth it and not as costly as I would have thought. You must make a reservation for the spa since they keep the number of patrons using it low at any given time. We made an early reservation and loved that we were they only ones there at the time. It was a highlight of a fabulous tour of South Italy!
