Lodging in Cannaregio

We will be arriving by train from Florence. Can someone recommend lodging (hotel, B & B, or apartment) that we could walk to from the train station?

Hi Linda, we stayed at Aquavenice B &B in Cannaregio, an easy 7 minute walk from the Train station. The two Maria's who run it are delightful. Fabulous breakfast and great location. They're hard to get into as so popular and there's a YouTube video you can watch too. Venice is divine! Cheers Virginia

We stayed in Cannaregio at a friend's home but want to tell you how much we enjoyed this area of Venice. It is away from the tourist crowds and a real neighborhood.

Hi from another Linda :)

we stayed at a beautiful apt. In Cannaregio...see my post a few down from this. Elisa gives excellent instructions on catching the waterbus ...it was very easy and a great introduction to Venice...and she will meet you at the stop and walk with you to the apartment.
We loved staying in Cannaregio.

We have stayed at Ca Dogaressa in Venice twice. Both times I reserved the Junior Suite. Large bedroom and sitting area with sofa/double bed, large bathroom. It has two windows with Canal views which I loved.
We were very happy there and would definitely stay a third time if we go back to Venice! Very helpful staff and the hotel including room was kept spotless! (mini fridge in the room)

Twice we have stayed at Ca Dogaressa in their Jr. Suite. It is a large bedroom with sitting area/sofa bed.
Large bathroom and everything was spotless. Room has mini fridge and 2 windows that overlook the Cannaregio Canal, I loved it.

Staff is very friendly and helpful, I made the reservations directly with the hotel. Easy walk to/from the train station. I would definitely recommend it and stay there again.

Have a Great trip!
