We stayed in a cozy apartment called Il Nido in the heart of Castelmuzio which is a beautiful, quiet, authentic Tuscan hilltop village. Il Nido had ancient brick walls and arching brick ceilings. It opened onto our own private terrace which proved perfect for morning breakfasts and late night romantic drinks. Il Nido is naturally cooled by the thick brick walls and you could sleep with the terrace doors open and listen to crickets and owls. When we arrived we were welcomed at the door and shown into this beautiful residence which was adorned throughout with flowers and a beautiful welcome basket of local fresh foods.
There are meals and experiences that are planned throughout the week which are optional, very reasonable priced and simply amazing.
We travelled to Tuscany to get married and have to send out a special thank you to Isabella who, upon learning of our wishes, truly went above and beyond what could be expected to ensure all of tour needs were met and a Tuscan Wedding was as special as the words sound.
