We will be going to the Lake Como area mid May for three nights due to change in itinerary.
Need recommendations for small boutique type hotels in Bellagio or open to other areas as well. Not finding much on my usual searches..

Others have reported that many hotels are booked by now in the area for May. If you’ve tried Booking.com and you’re not finding anything, try expanding your search to other villages on the ferry line, such as Menaggio or Lenno.

Try Hotel Belvedere up at the top of town in Bellagio.. it has parking too which is rare. Lenno is a nice town as is Mennagio. It is very late to find availability though.

I stayed here in May 2015 in a lakeside room. Not fancy but loved it. Wonderful breakfast, could walk to the village for supper. Took bus and ferry to get around. They have availability in mid-May.
